I have been a little busy lately as evidenced by the lack of updates around here, but I am hoping to refocus some attention here and finally get around to doing a lot of those thing that I said I was going to do.

The split up of ‘techno house’ into all the genres such as trance, hardcore, gabber, breakbeat etc and being stuck to the PCP clan, sucked him more and more into the harder sides of the techno aftermath. Miro started producing alot of records and became the second main producer next to Marc Acardipane (The Mover, Mescalinum United, Ace The Space etc), who’s reputation was very high.

Miro with his dozens of aliases has created some of the biggest hits in the hardcore sector and is definitely a real legend within that scene. With about 70 vinyl releases produced by Miro, the PCP era was closed near the millenium. Besides working on some harder productions it was getting a bit quiet until he moved to Berlin in 2006. His taste and influences have changed alot. Since then he hooked up with several Berlin and USA based artists and released on labels such as Klickhaus, Kiddaz.fm, Proper NYC and Tora Tora Tora - a beginning of a new phase of his life as a musician.

By now he has found his very own and unique style within the Minimal Techno sector. Miro’s productions are mainly nothing for beginners but mostly carry a deep heaviness and psychotic drug atmosphere which can be heard regulary on his own label Lazerslut since january 2008. After 15 years of being involved and knowing what it means to fight for his dreams, his name and reputation is on a rising path in this gigantic ocean of techno today!

Somewhat speachless on this one.

Dr Zues (Terry Blake) Wears a Faraday Suit and holds two “Lightsabers”, and on either side of him are 12KW Tesla coils. I believe the musical notes are made by varing the voltage of the coils and the sound is produced by the electrical arcs. Very interesting. I will have to look into how this is programed.

I want this setup!

While checking up on my friends over at djtechtools.com I read an article about a new interesting iPhone application. I have looked at and played with a few of the applications from iTM. They have developed some nice software to involve your iPhone in you music making or playing for that matter. This software reviewed on DJTT allows you to take control over your digital DJ package using MIDI control, so in effect it works just like the popular MIDI controllers on the market, such as; Vestax VCI-100.

I will have to get a copy of this software and put it through its paces and let you know what I think. It does have an air of toy feel to it but who knows It might be a fun way to interact with your crowd.

Make Music on Your iPhone!

I read about this great little application on beatportal. Seems by the video that it is relatively full featured. While obviously not a serious replacement for good recording software, synths and hardware, I think it will help those of us who get those spur of the moment ideas. This is one other app that I will have to give a try. Check out the video.

I am not “geek” enough to do this…

It seems this gentleman was not quite happy with just playing the keys on his MIDI keyboard. No that just would not do. He had to take on old Texas Instruments calculator and hack it to play his keyboard for him. Interesting for a minute then you have to wonder… Why?

I have changed my template in hopes of being able to present more information cleanly. I will be making tweaks to the template over the next few days, changing colors and the layout where needed, in an attempt to get things sorted out here. I hoping to get more motivated to update on a more frequent interval seeing as I have been added to LoadedWeb.com’s database of blogs. I am hoping this addition will bring new visitors to my humble little site and that in of itself will spark the motivation that I have been lacking lately.

I have added the use of a few tools to help me in my blogging endeavor, thanks to the information found in an article over at Ars Technica. The Zemanta add-on is also distributed as a WordPress plug-in, which I have loaded and is where the sorted papers image in this post comes from. The ScribeFire add-on is the other tool that I decided to add to my blogging arsenal and I hope that it makes posting interesting content that much easier.

I will post more about these tools and how they are helping will hopefully shine through in additional postings and their associated content.
